Case Study – A Real Local Installation by Frosty’s AC

mike pearman owner and Ac technician
Mike – Senior

Frosty’s AC on January 18 replaced an existing AC System with a refrigerant leak in the Evaporator Coil of Air Handler. The old AC System was approximately 15 years old and using R22 (Freon) refrigerant. The R22 refrigerant will be withdrawn from marketing on December 2019. The old system was a 12 SEER energy rating. The decision was made to buy and install a new energy efficient Heat Pump with a 15 Seer rating by the customer.

The reasons to justify the new system are:

  • It’s Likely to Breakdown due to the System’s Age
  • Some Parts  are not Available
  • Refrigerant Leak requires the Evaporator Coil Replacement
  • R22 (Freon) Refrigerant will be Unavailable Dec. 2019
  • AC Prices are Rising – last year there were five price increases
  • New AC Technology has Greater Reliability

A Quote from our Customer after 4 Months of Operations:
“Our newly installed AC System by Frosty’s cools the house in minutes and our electricty bill has dropped on the average of $170 per month. With Frosty’s Indoor Air Quality System included in our new AC System, the amount of dust in our home is drastically reduced and the air is fresh and clean.

With the old AC System, we kept the temperature at 75 degrees. With the new AC System, I am very comfortable at 77 degrees. However, my wife likes it at 79 degrees; so, we settled on 78 degrees. Mike said the new system is very efficient in removing the moisture from the air making it more comfortable and the reason why 78 degrees is our new 75.

We are totally pleased with the new AC System and appreicate the fast professional service from Frosty’s AC. Both my wife and I recommend Frosty’s AC as hard working, honest an caring professionals that you can count on to install a great AC System at good price.”
